Sorry about the long absence from the blogosphere. Here's a short account on what we've been up to.
Before Christmas, Mama got a stomach bug from a buffet (we think) on a short cruise we went on with Gummy and Goofy. Although, Mama understandably did not enjoy it to the fullest, BB had the time of his life and still asks when we will go on "the boat" next. He even won a drawing contest and got a tractor as a prize!
BB got the stomach bug just before Christmas, was on his way to recovery and then got a bad cold. On Christmas Eve, his 40 degree C fever interrupted Christmas dinner and postponed all the gift opening until Christmas Morning. (Pictures in a later post)
We spent Christmas with Hammo (Farmor), Uncle M and Sanna, and it was nice to have room for all of them (although barely) in our new apartment. Sanna got an extra Christmas gift from BB as she got infected by the stomach bug. Hammo got the cold. Pappa and Uncle M both got a little tired but managed to fight off both vira(?).
We spent New Year's Eve with Gummy and Goofy. LS woke up and refused to go to sleep, so she brought in the New Year with us. BB on his part, got to go to the children's firework show in the Kuppis Park and was very impressed. On New Year's Day, Karen and Vidal and their Mäusekinder came over and we had a house full of children (a very nice feeling).
Pappa spent most of the days after Christmas at the office correcting exams, as I had not been able to go to work when everyone was sick before Christmas. After Epiphany, it was back to teaching again. Also, with my contract running out at the end of June, it's time to start negotiating or at least planning my work for the fall.
We considering scooting up to Ostrobottnia to visit Caj & Malin and their two younguns at the end of February, other than that, we just try to get through the weeks. At least I have no teaching on Wed and Thu, so I use one day as a planning day and the other as a family day.
Finally, I'd like to remind those who like printed out photos, that most pictures here are posted full-size, so if you want them printed, click on them and then right-click on the really big picture and select Save picture. Then store the picture on a CD or memory stick and take it to your local photo-developer and get a high-quality photo. The resolution should be big enough to print out larger than 5" x 7", even.
"See you" at the inauguration,
-Pappa
