Well, we have a class-free week at work this coming week, but that does not mean I have a free week. Firstly, with two small children there is always something to do at home. Secondly we're moving into our new home on Friday!
There is no end to things that need to be taken care of when you move. You have to notify everyone of your new address, change your home insurance (ackpth, insurance is evil!), power contract, internet, newspaper subscriptions. Luckily a lot of address information will automatically change once you update your information in the civil register.
This will be the seventh time I move in Åbo, but the first time to do so with children. It remains to be seen how BB reacts to the new place (LS will probably adapt very quickly).
The leaves are almost all gone now. It's getting dark and dreary. An excellent period to grow some hope as per the Paulian model: suffering fosters perseverance, perseverance character, character hope. I think Finns must be the most hopeful people in the world :-P
Also, it's election time! US presidentials? Oh, nononono... The municipal elections of course! And having lived in Finland long enough, Mama is allowed to exercise her democratic right for the first time here as well! Here's a post of her view of the last elections:

First off, I think Paul was a lot more into having a crappy life than Jesus was. Paul's works read like you have to live hell than you get to go to heaven. The gospel's read like do as much as you can here to show that everyone is equal, should be loved, is loved, and will be taken care of. I also don't care to much for Paul's views on gay people. Vote for Obama! Oh wait, Vote Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue! They seem to be a little more liberal than Obama but that will do.
election time - yay :)
nice to see you all at church today.Sorry I ran off though -dead tired and wanted to get home, stuff done and to bed early. (So why am I here blogging? ... nah, don't answer that!)
Good luck with the move. It will take time to settle in but it will be lovely not to have to climb all those stairs and have a bit more room.
BB will have his own room too- that will be a blessing once he gets used to it :)
